Jun 07, 2018 · Oil is about 40p/litre now, at 10KWH/litre and boiler is 84% (checked recently), so useful KWH is about 4.75p. So I do not use the eco for water heating in the winter.Summer time may be different as the boiler has to firstly heat itself before it can heat the calorifier in the tank, hence lower efficiency, so might be different in the summer.
